Issue
The 802-LTE Blood Pressure Monitor has displayed an error when attempting to take blood pressure readings.
Resolution
Below you will find each error code that can be displayed on the 802-LTE Blood Pressure Monitor along with an explanation of what the code means and troubleshooting steps to take to resolve the issue.
- E1
Explanation
The E1 error indicates that the device is not detecting any resistance when attempting to inflate the cuff or it is detecting a blockage and unable to inflate the cuff at all.
The 802-LTE pumps air into the cuff to secure it around a users arm and create enough contact for it to begin detecting the users pulse. When the device pump activates but the device never detects that contact, it can not take a measurement. Similarly, if the pump is unable to inflate the cuff at all due to a blockage, the device will also not be able to take a measurement.
Troubleshooting
- Ensure that the cuff tube is plugged securely into the hole marked "Cuff Port".
- A common mistake is to attempt to plug the cuff into the AC adapter port on the other side of the device.
- Inspect the cuff for any rips, tears or holes that could affect the cuff's ability to inflate.
- Contact customer support for a replacement cuff or NIBP adapter.
- E2
Explanation
The monitor detects motion, talking or the pulse is not readable while measuring.
Troubleshooting
- Movement can affect the measurement. Relax for a moment and then measure again.
- Wrap the cuff around your arm and position it before tightening. Ensure the cuff is 2-3cm above the elbow with the hose facing down towards the user's wrist.
- E3
Explanation
The E3 error indicates that the device could not detect the users pulse.
The 802-LTE uses the oscillometric method, meaning that uses a pressure sensor to monitor arterial wall vibrations and pulse while inflating its cuff. If something interferes with the devices ability to detect the users pulse, a measurement cannot be taken.
Troubleshooting
|
- E6
Explanation
Radio communication failure
Troubleshooting
- Contact Customer Support
- Other Codes (E5, EE, 'out')
Explanation
These codes involve calibration errors or the measurement being out of range.
Troubleshooting
- Retry the measurement after taking a minute to relax.
- If the error persists, contact customer service. Do not attempt to re-calibrate the device yourself.
